Enoka Mamoe Hair cutting 1992
This is my brother Enoka’s haircutting, held in St Paul’s Trinity Pacific Presbyterian Hall on the corner of Cashel / Madras Streets. He was 15 years and this is a ceremony to signify his transition from boy to man. It is a Samoan tradition but celebrated around the Pacific. Funnily he got his first girlfriend within days of cutting his hair.
